More

I need to establish some guidelines: definition of words is very important. What I think a word means may be different from how you define a word. An example: when I started in the loan business, we had Loan Officers...salespeople who sold the products. Today, however, they are called AE's or Account Executives.

See what I mean? Check this out in your own world. If you are young ask your parent's to find examples. Another reason definition is very important between people, is that what is intended may not be what is understood. "Nothing" is a word that means one thing to women and another to men!

When I use the word tribe, I mean a small group of people that are together to simply survive. Simply put, there is safety in numbers. It is easier to find food, find or make shelter and make sure that the offspring reach the age of maturity in order to insure the survival of the group.

It is still the same in the animal world as it is in the animal known as Homo Sapien Sapien: us. It will be useful to remember that there is nothing that has not happened before, no act, deed or emotion. Niether the causes for it or the reactions. We may be able to bomb out of existence hundreds, thousands, even millions, but the intent to do away with is the same, one to one or multiples.

As it was in the beginning, so it remains. The size of the group or tribes has changed dramatically. The reasons are still the same. The consequence of tribes today, however, have the possibility of obliterating us from the planet. That is different and will continue to be only more ominous.

Until Neanderthal, I believe, there were no "leaders". There were no egos. No desire for more than what was necessary.

Deviant Sexual Behaviour

Hmmmm. A blog is turning out to be a boon. I don't have to put it in writing with pen and paper, good for the fingers. I can put thoughts down as they come. Great!!

Homosexuallity is, for me, normal in the animal kingdom, and we are animals, after all.

But deviant behaviour is different...why?

It seems to be, to me, that something happened in the "civilizing" of humans that accounts for that. It is possible that it an aberration based on changed sexal mores in ancient peoples. Those laws being enforced.

Notes

Why the blue?

Where does pedophilia, serial killers, sex deviants come from?
Nature, nurture....?????

Continuation

Before, after and now, we continue to come together as "tribes"...groups that allow for the survival, procreation and safety issues to be enforced as a condition of becoming human.

We look now at what a tribe is all out: small groups, possibly no more than 20-40 individuals of women, men and children of varying ages. Their daily survival consisted of finding food for themselves and their offspring. Helping each other care for the young. Creating a safe place to be during the hours of sleep. And, still, they were preyed upon and faced the hourly threat of death at the force of nature. This scenario played out for millions of years and continues throught the planet.

Think about your own life. In order to have shelter, food and safety for yourselves and your young, your blood and marriage family still play a large part of your lives. They are your small tribe. Then, there is the larger tribe of community. School, church, neighbors, friends, your town/city officials and the police department and every other and sundry person that subscribes to your tribe. Our state and by definition, our country, America, is the largest tribe we belong to in this country. But, we also belong to a larger tribe of human beings, the Western Culture, wherever it appears throughout the world.

Why? Because those of us who are descended from Euopeans who came to the Americas almost five hundred years ago, established the set of rules we lived with until the l960's. We have shared history, values and beliefs. Have we been successful? Yes, most certainly. But, we are also changing rapidly from the past to a new present and our future will be determined not only by how we change and what, but, today we face the wrath of one tribe and its subsets: Muslims.

Again, the Query...why?

I have read several of Jean Auel's "Clan of the Cave Bear" series and she put in book form in much detail what was known and she posited a story based on her research, intuition and common sense about "who" we are that fleshed out my own thesis. Us, you and me and everyone else on this Earth is made up of genetic maps acquired for over 6 million years. But, who we are today is a result of cultural and societal systems that are about 20 thousand years. Societal systems that developed and adjusted and changed over time: concepts of laws, a need for rulers, structured beliefs in God the world around us slowly changed over time.

We survived as a species because we had no choice but to survive. We are today what we are because of what happened to us when we settled down and began to be "citified" and "civilized".
We lost the pure "tribal" identity that served us so well for over six million years ago. The "tribal" identity that allowed us to live, develop and continue.

Are tribes bad? No. They still offer the things we need in order to survive, procreate and be safe, until the last century. Everything has changed.

To Still the mind!

There are days, and then there are days. In my case it is not days...but years. There is much already written but not here with me so that I feel as if I've had a limb severed.

The Query has never changed: why? Unlike the past when books, magazines, newspapers, television kept one up to date, the Internet has added a dimension that I simply love! I can read, hear and see in two hours what it would have taken days before. I can view as many sides of an issue as I want all are well written pieces by numerous people with integrity and intelligence or not.

So my blog had only one published entry, because I hit the wrong button. The post however is about my newest nephew who is now doing perfectly normal. Thank someone's God. Although my brother says I am an atheist, I still say that I am an agnostic. I usually keep two windows open and can check the spelling or meaning of anything instantly! Wonderful, that.

My son dropped in, literally. He lives in Denver and found that there was a flight he could take in two hours that would put him in California with a return flight that would allow us to spend almost forty-eight hours together. Ah technology. It was absolutely the best Mother's Day gift he could have given me. In addition, although my daughter and her kids had flown out earlier to be with our oldest granddaughter at her 21st birthday, my youngest son dropped by to spend time with the brother and us. Greatest weekend in a long time.

Anyway, (my newest kitten is trying to type also) I have a need to write, maybe not well, but certainly long and enough that maybe I can get the mind to still. There isn't really much to write on the current events affecting this country and the world. But, that is not my main interest. My main interest is the why of the thing.

The thing is: how did we get from the beginning to this?

Sometime in the absolute distant past...say billions of years ago. Something one celled developed and became life. Then something of that beginning cell crawled out of the depth of those oceans eons ago, again billions. Some of those crawled back into the that sea. Were they the lucky ones? The others stayed and as life is, continued on towards the last second, of the last minute, of the last hour of the year of beginnings. We had arrived. Hairy, probably glaring, scared but curious with something called a brain. It had grown to such a size that the grey matter literally folded in on itself to allow itself to fit the boney structure covering it. We had lost tails, gills and we now stood up and our eyes were positioned in front on our faces. We were scared. There were things truly out in the night, and day as well, that looked to us as food. We looked at other things as food. We, had the same imperative as any other animal, then and now: to survive. Survival meant food, procreation and safety. Actually, not that much different from today, 6 million years later.

We left our birthplace, probably the continent of what today is Africa. We wandered all over the earth. We learned to cross glaciers, bodies of water and moved from continent to continent, evolving, evolving, evolving, until we crested a hill, so far as we know at this moment, somewhere in Europe as Cro-Magnons and looked at Neanderthals, a branch of our family, right in the face. We still don't know 100% what happened, but the Neanderthals disappeared...as other branches surely did and Cro-Magnon, us, became supreme. So far as we know, today.

Cro-Magnon, we still don't know "where" they officially came from. But we know that they are modern man and have taken over the Earth. And until about forty thousand years ago, their only offense was to gain intelligence, creativity and fortitude. Their curiousity never faltered. They had it simple, survive, procreate, safety. No different than today, except, that for the first time in the history of this planet and race of man, we are in serious danger of wiping ourselves off the map and every living thing as well!! What changed in those last few thousands of years. Well, that will be what this series of posts will be about: my opinion and the The Query...why!!

Barbarity "on demand"

God! I am a coward! I simply cannot watch the video provided by the murderous cowards of the Mulim Islamofascists!!!

Again and again and again in the course of my life I have asked the "Why?" question. And, over the course of my life I tried to find out the answer to so many of my "whys" and so their number decreased. Decreased until this cancer was brought to the light sufficiently that we had our MSM begin to do some coverage.

Today, however, the MSM is silent on the execution of a Atwar Bahjat? Why? I think because to report it in any way or to show pictures or give out the video would do two things: begin the destruction of the fallacy of the apologists' and the information her execution demonstrates. These "people", "animals", "beasts"...what to name them..are capable of the most atrocious type of hate imaginable. They don't just kill, efficiently, quickly. They enjoy the torture and the agonizing screams of their victims. They bathe in the prolongation of blood sport.

If there is a God, and I don't happen to belive there is, then these Islamofascists need to be done away with. No, no torture, but certainly a quick death. They show their ignorance of humanity for they have not yet joined it. Just like the young Jewish man in Europe, they roll in the brutality, gore and blood of what they do and love it? Grotesque! Abominable!
